The NetShield 500 / 1000 filers provide affordable, reliable and easily maintanable NAS storage upto 1 TB.

The 12r utilizes Ultra160 SCSI interconnects between the host computer and the RAID controller and inexpensive IDE disk drives. This combination provides extremely fast interfaces and nearly one TeraByte of storage in a single 4U rackmount enclosure.

Storing almost 7 TB in only 3.4 square feet and featuring Fibre Channel for Storage Area Networks (SANs), the P1000 is ideal for small and medium sized work groups or for an enterprise with distributed data. The P1000 is designed to provide a low cost of library ownership, enabling users to add tape drives and cartridge slots when needed.
