As a result of Microsoft Office the computer software today has become much more standardized. Companies across the world are using Microsoft as their main operating system and virtually all other main operating systems have become obsolete.

Working in the finance world I am not sure how analysts survived before Microsoft excel, the data capacity is amazing and is getting better each year. The 2003 version of Microsoft excel had a maximum capacity of around 60 thousand lines, now in 2007 Microsoft Excel offers the user 1-million lines before the file hits capacity. Not only does Microsoft Excel 2007 have more capacity but the graphs are more complex offering the user a better tool for analyzing data and there are many more additions that make Microsoft Excel 2007 a great program to work with and making my job more effective.
