The REO Series - Disk Backup & Recovery by Overland Storage

Each REO disk backup and recovery product is easily integrated with existing Windows-based backup software, compatible with all popular systems, and physical tape drives. Its flexibility allows for easy configuration to virtual tape libraries, standalone virtual tape drives, and/or disk volumes (LUNs). Each REO series product is easily managed through browser-based interfaces that are simple and user-friendly resulting in greater time efficiency and management. They connect effortlessly to Ethernet (iSCSI) or Fibre Channel networks and can be enhanced by current and future software PAC options.

The REO series have two important features that separate it from the rest of the competition. The first is Protection OS™ software that is virtually non-susceptible to common threats like hackers, viruses, disk fragmentation, ongoing tuning, file system overhead, or any other shortcomings that might be found in generic backup devices. The Protection OS™ software also embeds data protection intelligence ensuring that your data remains safe. The second is the use of patent-pending Dynamic Virtual Tape, which lets users create tape cartridges, taking out the guesswork by automatically expanding or shrinking to match the exact capacity requirements so no space is wasted.
